Hand-woven and dyed in West Africa
Weaving cotton into long strips up to 60 metres long is an important textile tradition found throughout West Africa. These strips are slightly thicker than machine woven craft cotton.
Daboya Indigo Strips
From the village of Daboya in northern Ghana. 100% cotton, usually Indigo and white, occasionally with an accent colour.
Width: 6.5 cm / 2.5 in, approximately.
Burkins Faso Strips
100% cotton, combining Indigo and white. Width: 10.5 cm / 4 in approximately.
Mud Cloth Strips
Hand-woven strips of mud cloth from Mali. 100% cotton. Width varies: 9 - 13 cm / 4 - 5 in, approximately.
